GOLD PLATING

More about Gold Plating

Why Gold

Gold, when the part can't fail. Contacts that must stay conductive, wire bonds that must hold, surfaces that must survive heat and corrosion.

Prep first. Every part is cleaned and activated before plating. Adhesion starts there.

Nickel underplate. A barrier and adhesion layer under the gold when your spec calls for it.

To your thickness. From flash to heavy build, 0.000002" to 0.003".

Purity to match the job. 99.0% min decorative to 99.9% min soft gold (see table above).

Substrates. Metals, ceramics, plastics and glass.
